Stunning deciduous shrub or small tree with glossy leaves and bright scarlet red flowers. Flowers late spring and summer followed by spherical yellow/red fruit containing a pink, juicy pulp in autumn.

Cultural

Plant in a warm sheltered site in full sun. Preferably in heavy soil although will grow in any soil.

Care

The Pomegranate thrives in hot dry summers but requires moisture during fruiting stage from late summer to late autumn. Lightly prune after fruiting to desired shape and encourage new growth. Fruits on new season wood.

Harvest

Late autumn / winter.

Pollination
